Lee and Dennis Hornick founded the Organic Mattress Store Inc.—“the original” organic mattress showroom in Pennsylvania—for a simple reason: they were tired of sleeping on inferior beds.

“We started our business because we’d had too many unsatisfactory beds in a short period of time,” Dennis says. “We found a natural rubber mattress that was literally the mattress of our dreams, but it was on the West Coast. We wanted to provide the public with sleep products we believe in that they could try out here, so we opened up our store in 2004.”

Located a short ride from NYC or Philadelphia, the showroom carries pillows, sheets, mattress pads, toppers, comforters, blankets, organic baby products, solid wood bed frames, wool carpets and more, all American-made. “We are unique in that we carry several of the top brands in the industry,” Dennis says.

The Organic Mattress Store Inc. is located at 1075 Main St., Hellertown, PA., off Route 78, exit 67.
