The Underused Powerhouse in Breast Cancer Prevention

In the largest review of research into the connection between lifestyle and breast cancer, the American Institute of Cancer Research estimated that about 40 percent of US breast cancer cases could be prevented if people made wiser lifestyle choices.
Preventing breast cancer is far more important and powerful than simply trying to detect a tumor after it has already formed. Our breasts might be likened to canaries in a coalmine, as they reflect the environmental poisons that define the toxic times we live in.
The Breast Cancer Fund, a 501(c)(3) that works to identify and eliminate the environmental causes of breast cancer, makes a persuasive case that the industrialized world’s increasing reliance on various chemicals is linked to the current incidence of breast cancer.
Thermography, an underutilized, radiation-free breast health and cancer screening, can inform a woman about the health of her breasts and visually show the environmental toxic load they carry. The most promising aspect of thermography is its ability to spot anomalies years before mammography can.
This early detection affords women the opportunity to view precancerous changes to breast tissue before a tumor forms. Mammographic cancer screening should not be misconstrued as a form of cancer prevention. Thermography is true prevention.
