Free Info Session on Interactive Parenting Course

A social worker, parent educator and coach, Cabelly has been facilitating interactive, educational and entertaining parent workshops for many years, both in the NYC public schools and privately. She draws on her own years of frustration and evolution as a parent of three daughters, one of whom has special needs, incorporating concepts and communication skills that originated with child psychologist Haim Ginott.
Cabelly’s course is designed to lay the foundation for raising emotionally healthy children while building a rewarding parent-child relationship free of power struggles and miscommunication. Parents learn and share in a supportive milieu while practicing new skills each week, including acknowledging feelings, engaging in cooperation, using alternatives to punishment and encouraging autonomy.
“One mom told me that having weekly space where she could share struggles and learn how to creatively cope with the tremendous challenges of parenting has been a blessing,” Cabelly says.
