Interfaith Minister Training in NYC and On Live Stream

Founded in 1999 by Rabbi Joseph Gelberman, AFSI offers inter-spiritual courses through which students explore various faith traditions and undertake extensive practical experiences, including wedding and funeral service ceremonies, baby blessings, spiritual counseling, visiting sacred spaces, worship services, interviewing spiritual leaders of all faiths and religions, and writing a thesis and reflective papers on their experiences. Significant features of AFSI are the availability of professionally skilled mentors/advisors who are interfaith ministers, as well as faculty who are nationally or internationally noted in their respective arenas.
Courses for each academic level are offered onsite in New York City or by correspondence classes through live-streaming. AFSI’s master’s and doctoral programs are accredited. Current ministerial program include a one-year Comparative Religion program or a Comparative Religions Program with a concentration in A Course in Miracles Studies; a two-year Comparative with a concentration in Judaic Studies; and one-year Master of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity programs.
